The WA Youth Jazz Orchestra will be auditioning in 2008 on the following dates
The auditions will take place at the WA Academy of Performing Arts 2 Bradford Street, Mount Lawley commencing at 6 pm. Register in the upper foyer. Auditions will be on the following: Scales, sight reading, tone, technique, range on the instrument. Improvisation is optional. Brass auditions include all Trumpets, Trombones, French Horns, Tuba and Euphonium Rhythm section auditions include Piano, Bass, Guitar, Drums, Percussion (tuned & untuned) and vocals Vocalists please bring sheet music for piano and /or rhythm section. No backing tapes There are no set pieces to study and we do not listen to prepared audition pieces - this is primarily a sight reading and scales audition. Audition Forms are only available from 6pm on the day of audition Please note that there is a $10.00 audition fee payable on the day. |
